have you seen this commercial? opulence is one of the words you could use to describe our new years eve. we ended up at a party at this house. the owner hosted the cast of the sex and the city 2 while they were filming the movie at his hotel, which is right in front of the "house", aka palace. he was a gracious host, and we have never been nor will we likely ever be at another party like this in our lives.
there were maybe 30 people there and i'm telling ya this party was posh. people from all over the world, heiresses, bankers, entrepreneurs...and then me and david. we tried to fit in, but really we just felt like children there. people were getting a kick out of two mormons being at the party, we did toasts with water glasses and posed for pictures with cigars.
there was a feast around a round dining table at midnight. the glass/crystal/whateveritwaswasreallyfancy lazy susan on the table alone was six feet in diameter. ask us about it and we will talk about the party for hours, but this movie clip says a lot too. david danced for like the first time since we met, proof is at the end of the video. he dances like a farmer.

sarah...that is the coolest video. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall and be there. That is so funny. Man, the girl at peacock pavillions was so lucky to have you help her decorate. You are such a prodigy. That place is so pretty.
