NC & TN

I love every bit of North Carolina that I have ever seen.

Nantahala river:

21 weeks sometime:

A quarry in Tennessee we went to, but didnt have swimsuits for.

at a random restaurant in the middle of no where that had the best southern food. we were lickin our fingers.

11 pm craving for paradise pie from chilis, turns out there was a chilis next door to our hotel. yep.

DC and Vanderbilt mansion

...just phone photos these days, seems awfully inconvenient to pick up the camera anymore.

After New York we headed to DC to see steph and adam, then we drove south to NC.

We see bunnies everywhere, and more so since we've been pregnant.  They are obviously not related but we joke that our baby's spirit animal is a bunny.
This is a little walk we took by chesapeake bay one day on the hunt for sea glass....didnt find anything good.

 The Vanderbilt mansion in NC:

 Dream greenhouse sink

 I really love this statue.

New York

I had a wedding in New York in may.
It was preettttttyyy crazy.

We took a red eye that we didn't sleep on at all, got into town, drove a cargo van around manhattan all day, and took a nap in the back of said cargo van somewhere by a park in brooklyn when we found out our place to stay had fallen through.  I actually dont even remember where we ended up getting a hotel that night.  Then there were three days in a row of working for 18-21 hours...and getting just a few measly hours of sleep. I had my first real pregnant melt down at JFK airport when they told me they think they had lost all of the flowers from my shipment.  It quickly turned from me crying about the flowers to me crying about how tired and hungry I was and how i felt bad for the baby. The poor lady at the counter that saw me have my meltdown went into the back room and tracked down the boxes herself because she felt so bad. bless her soul.  So they found the flowers and about five hours later than scheduled we were able to load them up and take them to the workspace to get going on them. Each night we would leave the workspace in the middle of the night stop and a mini mart so I could grab food to stuff in my face, then we would try and find a place to crash, do so for a few hours, then wake up at the crack of dawn and start it all over.

The wedding day itself was insane too, I was lucky to have friends in town to help (thanks aly and david!) so that I didn't have to pay top dollar for NYC help for everything.
The day after the event none of us could even move. It was rainy in the city and we just sort of puttered around returning the things we had borrowed from people, and eating food whenever we felt like it.
Here are a few phone pics of the insanity, you can see more from the wedding on my flower blog

 the wedding venue:
The van only had two seats so we had to lock any additional helpers in the back to ride with all the stuff.  We had to cross the bridges a lot and got in trouble a few times. oops. Bumpy roads were no fun for me in the front seat, cam't imagine they were very fun in the back....

David asleep in the cargo van in shotgun, before we moved to the back where we slept on a smelly rubber mat. We looked like total transients when we woke up from the nap and got out of the van. I was of course overheating so I was half undressed too.

You can see my 20 week gut in these pictures:

18 weeks. I remember thinking that I looked fully pregnant this day, and that strangers would be able to notice. huh.

19 weeks, wind blowing every time I try to take a photo, as usual.
