We went on a snowshoeing/ski trip to to a yurt this weekend with some friends. It was such an adventure and it was so pretty. My pictures are sub-par because i opted not to pack my real camera in, most of these are phone pictures. We hiked six miles each way to and from the yurt...except i cheated on the last 2.5 miles back and hitched a ride with a snowmobiler because my knee was acting up.
there were some really good falls. good thing i was the only one taking pictures, or else someone could have gotten a video of me and my gimpy limp on the way down.

me bundled up for the descent this morning. it snowed like 8 inches throughout the night, fortunately it calmed down for the trek out.

that looks so dreamy...I've always wanted to do that. I love the truck that says "size does matter". if you ever want to get on a truckers good side, stroke his ego by complimenting his big truck. they eat it up like you wouldn't believe.

i use to snow shoe all the time! how else do you keep you sanity in the dead of dark winter? i always dreamed of staying the night at the yurt. those things need to be booked months or years in advance.
its just that i've always wanted to go to yurt...i will now ski to one in my imagination.
