We stayed with Karma & Emer. This is them outside the temple, where they will be working for the next year and a half.
We went to Gettysburg, they had a great new museum and a "Cyclorama" painting that is worth the trip out there.

Below are some photos of great art that were at a gallery in Georgetown. The one that looks like a slice of cake was titled "Everybody Wants a Piece of Obama". The one that says "Unite" across it is made of crayons. The black one of MLK is made of wire that is bent into chaos, but if you get at the right angle you can see his face. The environment in this gallery was so exciting, the energy there was exactly what we went to D.C. to feel.

I'll comment on this one, since the prior post has three comments and this one has none and it looks lonely. Looks like you had fun. I love D.C. and Gettysburg...glad that you were able to go. Thanks for sharing the experience. Sorry I didn't get pics to you for Mom and Dad - life has been happening.
