lookin' a little rugged

(alright, this did actually happen, but i MAY have held it for a photo op)

we keep trying to go hiking and we run into too much snow every time.

on the fourth we went to park city for david to play in a rugby game, followed it up with brunch, took a long afternoon nap, then decided to go hiking at 6:30 pm. we got up the canyon and started hiking and were making good time until we got to this peak. then we had to hike straight up on snow or slopes of slippery shale rock. we finally made it to the top just after sunset then had to race back and try to find the trail before it got too dark. hiking up the snow/ice was not so much fun, sliding down it was though. as we were driving down the canyon we could see the sky in the valley flashing with the light of fireworks, and we made it to a look out point just in time to catch a fairly decent show. it was a good day.
